East End Pub – Sold!

The Peacock Public House was owned and run by the lovely Patsy and her family for over 40 years. A traditional boozer still in its original glory and steeped in local history being bomb damaged in World War 2. We gained instructions through Charles directly approaching the owners due to the property having a lapsed consent for 4 units on the upper floors.  We meet with Patsy and gained instructions to openly marketed the site for sale at offers in excess of £1,000,000. Following interest from a range of buyers looking at different ideas for the property’s future. Terms were agreed 10% over our guide with buyers well known to Highfield. Contracts exchanged quickly with a delayed completion to suit our owners’ relocation.  The new owners are looking to redevelop the site and reopen the pub and we look forward to being invited to the reopening. Special thanks to Daniel Brown at Kingsley Napley LLP for also looking after Patsy following our recommendation.
